About the Speakers

Dr. Gloria Sachdev is Indiana’s Secretary of Health and Family Services. A pharmacist by training, Dr. Sachdev previously led the Employers' Forum of Indiana, where she commissioned the groundbreaking RAND study on hospital pricing relative to Medicare and developed the Sage Transparency public quality and cost dashboard. Her advocacy has driven over two dozen state healthcare affordability laws. She also served on the pharmacy faculty at Purdue University for nearly two decades.

State Representative Julie McGuire has served Indiana’s House District 93 since 2022. She is Vice Chair of the House Public Health Committee; serves on the Insurance and Education committees; and was appointed to the All Payer Claims Database Advisory Board in 2025. She is a leading policymaker and advocate for healthcare affordability legislation in her state.
