Healthcare Purchaser Alliance Partnerships

Members of the Alliance can pool their market clout and ensure they are getting a great deal for their organization. HPA staff conduct in-depth evaluations and validate all of our vendor solutions, and we negotiate 100% transparent contract terms that deliver better rates and terms so purchasers can be confident they are adopting programs that deliver for their employees and their families. WellSpace@Work

WellSpace@Work is a Maine-based behavioral health practice that offers guaranteed access to best-fit providers within five days. While numerous virtual behavioral health resources exist for employers, WellSpace@Work is the only direct-to-employer organization operating locally and offering in-person therapy. Employers may choose to purchase a block of visits to make available to their employees, or they may choose to cover a portion of the visit costs for any employee that opts to receive care. The program is highly customizable to meet the needs of each individual employer. Because they are local for Maine employers, Wellspace@Work is able to connect patients to resources in their community and make warm hand-offs to more specialized treatment for conditions like Substance Use Disorders. Imagine360

Imagine360 revolutionizes employer health plans with a self-funded approach that emphasizes cost control and quality care. Their model uses reference-based pricing to meet specific employer needs, ensuring significant savings and a supportive member experience. Reference-based pricing leverages a transparent, fair payment methodology – often a multiple of Medicare’s price or a price based on the provider’s cost structure – to eliminate the opaque game of network discounts and generate savings of up to 30%. RBP is gaining traction in Maine and across the country, however this solution requires commitment and engagement from HR and finance teams. HPA members have access to special pricing and contracting with Imagine360. Contact us to learn more.

Carrum

Costs for episodes of care can vary significantly around our state. In addition to the wide variation in cost, financial incentives in our current fee-for-service system reward the volume of services delivered rather than well-coordinated, safe care with the best outcomes. To address these issues, HPA partners with Carrum Health to offer episode-based bundles of care that are delivered at the highest quality centers of excellence. Purchasers are able to pay one consistent upfront payment for all the services associated with over 90 episodes of care. This approach has been shown to lower costs, improve outcomes, and enhance patients’ experience of care.

EBS Bridge

The Employee Benefit Services, Inc. (“EBS”) Bridge Program™ is an employer funded health plan that pays secondary to a high deductible group health policy, providing the employer many advantages irrespective of the carrier used. By adding a secondary plan, employers can dramatically reduce the cost of their primary plan while obtaining many advantages such as decreasing employee out-of-pocket expense. Small, mid-size, and large purchasers who currently have a fully-insured or level-funded plan are the best fit for the EBS Bridge Program™. Purchasers who currently offer competitive benefits (lower deductible, lower out-of-pocket plans) are particularly well suited for the program, and in many cases will be able to further improve benefits while reducing costs.
